Our studio is rooted in the desire for natural objects that make your everyday life more colorful.
Everyday family life can be pretty wild at times: constantly using crockery, constantly cooking, eating, storing or taking food with us. Much of this ends up in plastic out of habit – even though we know that it is neither healthy nor sustainable.
With the birth of our first son in 2022, we too were confronted with countless children's tableware options. Products made from supposedly ‘natural’ bioplastics, recycled materials, bamboo or rice gradually found their way into our household. And yes, we felt good about them at first – they seemed healthy, safe and responsible. In everyday use, however, they quickly became brittle, discoloured and scratched, and the food smelled of the containers. So we started to do some research. To be honest, what we found shocked us: many of these seemingly suitable products contain toxic substances and are not actually approved for contact with food – especially not for children. This frustrated us. How can it be that so few people know about this?
ÉMAÉ STUDIO is an abstraction of the French word émailler – to embellish or bring to life. Like our vision: honest materials and colourful objects that you want to keep rather than replace.
In our search for a better solution, we stumbled across granny's old enamel jug. An object that had survived decades without toxins, without frills: steel core, glass coating, fired in the oven. Robust, tasteful, multifunctional – and more honest than anything we had before. This simplicity inspired us, and with the birth of our second son in 2025, we decided: we're bringing enamel back to the table.
Our philosophy: minimalist, bold and durable. For families and friends and everyone else who wants to add colour to their everyday lives. For baby to granny and every meal in between – from babyccinos to Sunday soups. For people who no longer want to compromise and still value aesthetics and design at the table. Our pieces are timeless and made to last for generations. Everything is shaped by the idea that ‘colourful’ means more than just colour: it stands for inclusion, diversity and moments that bring people together. From the first spoonful to the big family celebration. Designed in Switzerland, handmade in Turkey – each piece is unique.
